The Pit Shop is making way for 2007 merchandise, and many items have been marked for clearance. The shop stocks a wide variety of racing-related items, including books and die-cast collectibles, all types of apparel from T-shirts to shorts and jackets, jewelry and other accessories sporting team numbers and colors, flags, stickers, coffee mugs, photo albums, board games and much more. In addition, customers who purchase one red-lined clearance item will receive 50 percent off a second red-lined clearance item of equal or lesser value. Don't delay; this special offer ends on Labor Day - September 4, 2006. The Darlington Raceway Pit Shop is located adjacent to Darlington Raceway on Highway 151, and is open seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series racing returns to Darlington on Mother's Day weekend. The 2007 Carolina Dodge Dealers 500 weekend will include practice and qualifying for both series on Friday, May 11, followed by the Diamond Hill Plywood 200 NASCAR Busch Series race under the lights that evening. Denny Hamlin won the event in 2006. On Saturday, May 12, Darlington Raceway will host Cup Series racing for the 58th consecutive year. The 2007 Carolina Dodge Dealers 500 will be run under the lights in its entirety. Greg Biffle has won the event two years running. Guests are currently in the process of renewing their seats from 2006; the deadline for ticket renewals is August 21. Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on September 16.
