darlingtonraceway.com Adds Paving Project Link

Darlington, SC - (August 3, 2007) Fans can now keep up with the progress of Darlington Raceway's repaving and tunnel construction project online, thanks to a new link on the track's website featuring a visual record of the work in progress. Along with still photographs, short videos are also included on the page. The videos, in addition to giving fans a look at the actual work under way, will also feature comments from engineers involved with the project, Raceway staff members, and other special guests. To access the paving page, simply log on to darlingtonraceway.com and click the link in the right-hand rail. "Fans who have been coming to Darlington for many years feel a real sense of ownership in the track, and we want that continue," said Raceway president Chris Browning. "As we make changes to 'their' racetrack, we want them right there with us every step of the way." The 2008 Carolina Dodge Dealers 500 weekend at Darlington is currently scheduled to include practice and qualifying for the NASCAR Busch and NEXTEL Cup Series on Friday, May 9, followed by the Diamond Hill Plywood 200 that evening.
