Darlington Raceway and World Access Partner to Provide Event Ticket Protector Insurance
Darlington, SC - In an effort to provide our race fans with peace of mind on
their purchased tickets, Darlington Raceway has partnered with World Access to
offer Event Ticket Protector Insurance to ticket buyers, protecting those who
are unable to attend events due to unforeseen circumstances. The coverage, an
optional purchase in addition to the ticket, will be $6.25 per ticket and is
available at Darlington Raceway, beginning with the May 9-10, 2008 NASCAR
With the insurance provided by World Access, fans will be reimbursed if a medical issue, traffic accident, jury duty, employment termination, or any other covered reasons prevents the insured from attending a race. World Access is a leading specialty insurance and assistance provider. They also offer Event Ticket ProtectorSM Insurance coverage for concert and other sporting tickets.
The 2008 Dodge Challenger 500 weekend is currently scheduled to include practice and qualifying for the NASCAR Busch and Sprint Cup Series on Friday, May 9, followed by the Diamond Hill Plywood 200 that evening. Denny Hamlin will be looking for the elusive Darlington "three-peat" after winning the 2006 and 2007 events.
On Saturday night, May 10, Darlington Raceway will host Cup Series racing for the 59th consecutive year when the green flag waves to signal the start of the Dodge Challenger 500. Jeff Gordon, a seven-time winner at Darlington, is the defending champion.
