DARLINGTON, S.C. (Feb. 19, 2010) – Darlington Raceway has partnered with Brian Vickers, one of NASCAR’s brightest young stars, to give one lucky fan a authentic Dollar General Racing fire suit.
Fans interested in entering the contest can visit DarlingtonRaceway.com/BrianVickers to enter. Entries are being accepted now through March 12. Fans are also encouraged to visit ClubVickers.com, the official fan club site of driver Brian Vickers.
“Brian Vickers is one of the hottest names in NASCAR and we are thrilled to partner with him and ClubVickers.com on this promotion,” said Darlington Raceway President, Chris Browning. “Brian is a driver who understands and appreciates the history of our sport and the lucky fan who wins will have a great piece of racing memorabilia for their collection.”
Vickers, a former NASCAR Nationwide Series Champion, has one win at Darlington Raceway in the Nationwide Series. Both his championship and Darlington victory came in 2003.
Darlington Raceway or the track “Too Tough to Tame” as it is known to many, is where the purest of NASCAR competition meets true southern hospitality. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will also make a stop at Darlington for the first time since the 2004 season.
Don’t miss any of the paint-scraping action at Darlington Raceway in 2010. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series will visit the track on Mother’s Day Weekend, May 7-8, for the Southern 500® and Darlington 200. The Camping World Truck Series will make its return to Darlington Raceway for first time since 2004 on August 14 for the Too Tough to Tame 200. Tickets for all three events are on-sale now.
