Darlington Raceway will serve as the host for quality barbeque, classic cars and great live music when the Speed & Feed BBQ Cook-off and Car Show presented by Sam Carbis Solutions Group and Piggly Wiggly returns to the track November 7-8, 2014. The event will be FREE and open to the public from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday. Unlimited BBQ tastings will be available for $5 per person per day.

    In the attached photo, new Darlington Raceway President Chip Wile met with South Carolina Nikki Haley today at the State House in Columbia, S.C. Darlington has always enjoyed a great relationship with its home state. Wile and Governor Haley met to discuss potential opportunities that will further enhance the relationship with the state and the track, which is home to the largest attended professional sporting event in South Carolina.

    Darlington Raceway Collects 380 Units Of Blood For Pee Dee Region American Red Cross In 2013

    Race fans and community members joined Darlington Raceway on Patriots Day for the eighth annual 9/11 Darlington Raceway Blood Drive. A total of 183 units of blood were collected on Wednesday. Combined with the 197 units of blood collected during Darlington Raceway’s Bojangles’ Southern 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series weekend in May, the track Too Tough To Tame has collected 380 units of blood for the Pee Dee chapter of the American Red Cross. With each unit having the ability to help up to three patients in need, Darlington Raceway’s efforts will help approximately 1,140 people in our community.

    Darlington Raceway Recognized By NASCAR Green For Environmental Contributions

    Darlington Raceway was among seven International Speedway Corp. (ISC) facilities recognized by NASCAR Green for its environmental initiatives today. The track Too Tough To Tame was honored at the 2013 NASCAR Green Summit with the Track Operator Award for its efforts in partnering with Clemson University to plant switchgrass on the speedway property for future use in the production of bio-fuels.

    Darlington Raceway To Host First Darlington Marathon On Sept. 28

    Another form of racing will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28, as Darlington Raceway will serve as the start line and finish line for the inaugural Darlington Marathon.
