Has Darlington Raceway been converted to a flat track? Only for a few weeks and a few hundred feet. The track has been leveled between Turns 3 and 4 to make way for a new infield access tunnel. When the tunnel is complete, the 1.366-mile egg-shaped oval will get its first fresh coat of asphalt in more than a decade. The project is scheduled to be completed by November 30.
