DARLINGTON, S.C. (Feb. 12, 2024) — Darlington Raceway announced today that it will be hosting its watch party for the 66th running of the Great American Race on Sunday, Feb. 18 at Mellow Mushroom at 120 Dunbarton Drive, Florence, S.C.
“We welcome everyone to come celebrate the start of the new season with our DAYTONA 500 watch party at Mellow Mushroom,” said Darlington Raceway President Josh Harris. “It‘s a can‘t miss race, and there‘s no better way to view it than with fellow race fans from across the Pee Dee Region.”
The event will be held from 1:30 p.m. up until the checkered flag waves for the inaugural regular season race of the 2024 season. Throughout the watch party, Darlington Raceway will be hosting games and NASCAR trivia where fans will have the opportunity to win tickets to both the Goodyear 400 and the Cook Out Southern 500. Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to win great prizes from iHeart Media and Coca-Cola. Drink specials will also be available, courtesy of Southern Crown Beverage.

Darlington Raceway will be hosting two NASCAR race weekends this year on May 10-12 and Aug. 31-Sept.1. This spring, the Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR begins with the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Race on Friday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. Then, the action will continue into Saturday, May 11, with the NASCAR Xfinity Series Race at 1:30 p.m. Finally, the stars of the NASCAR Cup Series will pay homage to their grassroots origins in the Goodyear 400 on Sunday, May 12, at 3:00 p.m.
In the fall, racing at Darlington Raceway will fire off with the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW Help A Hero 200 Xfinity Series race on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 3:30 p.m. Then, drivers of the NASCAR Cup Series will make one final push to lock themselves into the playoffs as the regular season concludes with the Cook Out Southern 500 on Sunday, Sept. 1 at 6:00 p.m.
